Miracle: An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God: "Miracles are spontaneous, they cannot be summoned, but come of themselves"

She looks beautiful today!

I found myself needing to talk and cry with someone I didn't know well...I explained to her all I knew...Emily's medical condition, how I want to believe and hope for a miracle, Hanna, my support system, what a special person Em was to bring all these people together. I explained that I thought all these people are here because Emily has touched their life somehow and in someway. And I thought they needed to see to move forward. We all prayed with Emily. I know she could feel the energy, the love, and the hope.

For all of you that have spent the days, into the night, onto the next morning...please take care of yourselves...You have given me a gift I hold in my heart! I am so proud of my daughter, she connected so many people and obviously gave so much of herself...

We want you to know there are so very MANY people praying for Emily over here on the Front Range. Our hearts cry out for that miracle you mention. Know that many continue to pray and are asking the Lord God for her full recovery. We remember each of you, asking for continued strength and wisdom from day to day. We believe we will again see that sweet smile and fun sense of humor that Emily offers so freely.

Emily, us kitchen ladies are so praying for you and your family. I pray for you and your family several times each day. I remember when we used to sell ice cream. You would come running to the concession stand at lunch. I could see you coming and would do my best to make sure that I had that Snickers Ice Cream Bar for you. If not, you would walk away sad.... lol
Then, I realized who your Dad is, at a game. Dale...... Wow, without him we would not be living in our own home... You and your crazy strong family are the best......... I promise that when you come back, I will specially order in those Snickers Ice Cream just for you...
And always, that Turkey Sandwich!!!!!11

I just want to let you all know that the staff at Cactus Valley Elementary School are all hoping the best for Emily. She has been in our thoughts throughout the week. Still praying hard...I keep thinking of diferent situations and saying, You did before Lord, please do it again. I know our prayers are being heard, sometimes we just don't see the result right away. I guess every day is a miracle for Emily. And someday soon, we'll see the big miracle...when she wakes up with a big smile on her face. Keep fighting Emily, we love you!

Emily,
I can still hear your infectious laugh and see your beautiful smile...even though it's been years since you were my student in 7th grade. I still have those "good luck" beads you placed on my overhead. Look for the beads to be coming your way soon! I knew then you were destined for greatness, and that's not changed. The love and support surrounding you is immense, and I've no doubt you can feel it as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take care and stay strong. Loving thoughts and prayers, Kelly Detlefsen

Emily, Hannah, Sheryl & DJ,

I can't help but think that the cloudy skies that have been with us everday since the accident are God placing a protective blanket over Emily as she recovers. As the clouds disappear from the sky the injuries disappear from Emily, making her stronger every day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love,

Karren
