Another day...
Emily looks peaceful! She has a new pair of boots and they look quite comfortable, soft and warm. Keep her feet flexible (to kick that soccer ball) and prevent soars on her heals. Don't really know the protocol for the day...just looking for one small, good thing to happen.
OK, so I believe in God, good energy and karma...I know that Emily feels me in the room, when I touch her, she feels me...and I can feel her energy too! Last night, we were in the room and Emily loves her arm tickles from DJ, I was standing beside her and giving her an arm tickle and looked at her and said, Emily, if you can feel me, I want to see extra breathes...I then looked at the monitor and she took (on her own, above and beyond the ventilator) 4 breaths. Hanna's eyes got big...so lots of praying, good energy and cashing in on the karma...I feel that today!
Rachel, thanks for keeping the faith...and not getting "sucked in" yesterday...You put the whole group of us back on track...

Sheryl, DJ, and Hanna-
Emily is a fighter and one of the most determined ladies that I know. She has always been one person that finds a way to do anything she puts her mind to. I can only imagine that she is drawing the strength from everyone that loves her and using that to get better. Today is the day for a miracle.
Love and prayers-Robert, Barb & Sam
Sheryl DJ & Hannah - you guys are amazing in your strength and your sense of appreciation for what you have - Keep up your patience, strength and hope, we'll keep up our prayers and good thoughts - every day passed is one day closer to recovery!
Johnson Family,
I am sending good thoughts and prayers your way. Remain faithful.

The halls and classrooms of Coal Ridge resonate with hope so strong it's almost tangible.
We can never underestimate the power of things like hope, friendship and love-- and so much of this rushes toward Emily right now.
I think that Emily, being who she is, also wishes to participate in all of this positive energy. You've mentioned more than once how very peaceful she is-- my bet is that this is something her generous heart wants to share-- I hope that all of you there at the hospital feel the peace Emily is sending.
Take care,
Tinker Duclo
Marcee Little (my sister-in-law) called and share with me stories about Emily. What an amazing, fun and exciting young woman! You guys are on the prayer chains at Christ's Church and First Baptist Church in Roswell NM. One thing we'v learned at Christ's Church is that God does hear our prayers. He is real and He loves you and Emily. We are praying for you all!!!
Sheryl, DJ and Hanna
The Romero's have sent a lot of possitive thoughts and prayers, and will continue. Emily is a strong funny person who will come out of this and be a stronger person.
We love you guys

Sheryl, Deej & Hanna,
I heard this song on the radio today and found the link to send you. It made me think of Emily and how she has put her heart and soul into living a vibrant life. That, she learned from you! When she heals, she'll be that way again, two-fold.
Let your soulshine....
Love you all.

Hi Sheryl, DJ and Hanna,
Just wanted you to know that Greg and I are praying for Emily and for the rest of you during this difficult time. It must be so tough just waiting to hear any hopeful progress reports for your own daughter. Even though we have not seen Emily since she was really young(great name by the way)we have heard a lot about her over the years and enjoyed reading the comments others have posted on this blog. She sounds like a great kid! How old is she? We want you to know that we are believing for a miracle for her. Hang in there cousin Sheryl and when she has fully recovered, we may just have to meet for our shopping date to celebrate. Love and prayers...
